The centre of has-beens this year is Milton Keynes Theatre, which has cast a whole host of ‘big name’ stars in its production of Alladin– some of whom you may even have heard of.
Russell Grant heads up the ‘all-star’ cast – helping to prove that success in Strictly Come Dancing really can lead to the dizzy heights of comedic roles in regional theatres.
And that’s not all – he’s joined by such stars as Anita ‘that barmaid from Eastenders’ Dobson, Paul ‘Britain’s Got Talent non-winner’ Burling; Gareth ‘the one that couldn’t win Pop Idol’ Gates; and – the one with the talent – Camilla ‘one of the dancers from Strictly’ Dallerup.
Our advice? Save yourself the misery and go and watch Strangeface’s production of Pinocchio at The Stables.
Complete with masks, puppets, songs, and mischief, it’s set to be a whole lot more enjoyable than its big budget bigger brother- and there won’t be an overweight ex-astrologer in site.
