Music 4 Meningitis – Charity Beats this Saturday

By 1st November 2012Activities, Uncategorized

This Saturday 3rd will see the third annual instalment of Music 4 Meningitis, A non-profit musical mash up of live music, underground DJs, performance and comedy at The Sno!Bar, Milton keynes.

This year’s Circus themed event will not only feature live performers, a freak show and at a guess some pretty wild fancy dress, but also will deliver some of the best live acts and DJs around.

Fighting in the DJ corner they have Footwork djs The Candyman & Kenty, the muff like beats of Beatcheck’s very own, Uncle Muff and the sounds of Andy Brown from Jungle Massacre.

In the live corner they are pulling out the punches, with bands such as The Amateurs  & The Cracked returning to the event. But we all really want to see the main event, the king of ClownCore, introducing the underground and twisted sounds of Mr Ed Cox.

Ed has had international recognition due to his, how do we say  “unique performances”. Fusing traditional music with ska, jungle and breakcore, whilst playing the accordion and having a face painted like a child’s biggest nightmare (no, not Jimmy…. What…to soon?)

We can’t really put Ed’s performances (or accordion) in to words so here’s a video of the mad man himself.

Music 4 Meningitis has raised thousands for charity over the last two years, this year they plan to break all records, so dig deep and get down to the Sno!bar this weekend from 6.30pm.

All funds on the night will go directly to The Meningitis research foundation, so every single penny you donate counts.

To find out more about the event and the acts listed, take a look at the event page on The MK Guide (Powered by Beatcheck) or on their event page on Facebook.
